After a stellar weekend helping the No. 4 Washington University in St. Louis volleyball team to a 2-0 record, senior Naya Ohuabunwa has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III National Player of the Week.
This marked the first time since 2008 that two players from WashU have earned National Player of the Week honors in the same season. Earlier this year, classmate Leah Oyewole had earned this honor from the AVCA.

For her efforts, she was named to the IWU Classic All-Tournament Team as well as the Tournament MVP. Earlier this week, she was named the UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Ohuabunwa helped the Bears pick up ranked wins over No. 14 UW-Eau Claire (3-0) as well as IWU Classic host and No. 1 Illinois Wesleyan (3-2). Against the top-ranked Titans, she finished with 22 kills on .450 hitting while adding five blocks and three digs.
