Nico Comsa of Carnegie Mellon Named to D3football.com All-South Region Team

Junior linebacker Nico Comsa (Connellsville, Pa.) of the Carnegie Mellon University football team was named to the D3football.com 2014 All-South Region team. Comsa earned third-team honors, as the junior was selected in balloting by South Region sports information directors and D3football.com staff.  
Comsa, a first team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and second team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection, led Carnegie Mellon with 97 tackles and 12.5 tackles for loss of 40 yards while ranking fourth and ninth in the PAC and first and second in the UAA in the respective categories.  He recorded his first two career interceptions in 2014 while returning one 24 yards for a touchdown against Westminster.  Comsa also tallied 2.5 sacks, forced two fumbles and had six games of double-digit tackles including a career-best 12 on three occasions.
