Brandeis University first-year infielder Liana Moss of Agoura Hills, Calif., was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year earlier today.
Moss led the Judges in home runs with seven, extra base hits with 19, and a .770 slugging percentage. She batted .410 in 30 games, good for third on the team, had 28 RBIs, and added nine doubles and three triples. Moss finished in the top 10 in the UAA in batting average, slugging percentage, triples and home runs. Moss is the second Judge to be named the UAA Rookie of the Year in three years. Genovese earned the honor in 2012.
