Four UAA institutions have received a berth in the 2016 NCAA Division III Softball Championship.
All four teams will travel for regional play, which are double-elimination tournaments.
UAA champion Emory University (40-4) will play in the Berry College Regional and play Birmingham-Southern College in the first round. Berry will face Piedmont College.
UAA runner-up Washington University (34-10) heads to Illinois Wesleyan University to open post-season action against DePauw University. Illinois Wesleyan faces Hanover College in the first round.
University of Chicago (25-8) meets local rival Wheaton (IL) College in the first round, while regional host Trine University plays Greenville College. Unlike the other regionals that will be played Friday through Sunday, the Trine Regional will play Thursday through Saturday.
University of Rochester (26-21) plays Penn State-Behrend College in the opening round of a three-team regional with the winner to face regional host St. John Fisher College.
The winners of each regional will advance to Super Regional play on May 20-21.
