After its 5-4 win over previously top-ranked Williams College, the Emory University women's team joined the Eagles' men's team as the No. 1-ranked team in the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division III National Team Rankings.
The Eagles broke a 13-match losing streak to the Ephs in a rematch of last year's NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship final.
Other ranked teams on the women's side include Washington University (ninth), Carnegie Mellon University (11th), University of Chicago (15th), and Case Western Reserve University (22nd). NYU, which entered the poll for the first time in program history last week, is ranked 30th, one spot ahead of Brandeis University, giving the Association seven ranked squads.
On the men's side, Emory earned its No. 1 ranking with the title at the ITA Division III National Indoor Championships and with a convincing win at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, handing C-M-S its first regular season loss since 2012.
Three other UAA men's teams are ranked in the top-10 with Chicago leading the way at fifth. CWRU is ranked sixth, one spot ahead of Carnegie Mellon University. Washington University is ranked 13th with Brandeis ranked 32nd.
Overall, 13 UAA men's and women's teams are nationally ranked with 10 in the top-25.
