From Washington University Athletics

Senior Rebecca Ridderhoff's extraordinary efforts for the No. 1-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field team this past weekend earned the recognition of the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with the NCAA Division III Women's National Athlete of the Week honor, as announced by the Association Tuesday.

Ridderhoff finished the 400 hurdles with a school-record time, breaking the one-minute mark by completing the course in 59.38. The Woodridge, Ill.-native altered the NCAA record book with the 10th fastest time in Division III history. Ridderhoff's time is also the best of any Division III athlete this season.

She also teamed up for the nation's top time in the 4x400-relay at the Saint Louis University Invite, 3:48.78. Ridderhoff ran lead-off and helped WashU outpace Division I and II competition as WashU secured first place with 248 combined points.
