Eight UAA teams, four women's and four men's, have earned a berth in the 2015 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at Winneconne, WI on Saturday.
Emory University and Washington University each received an automatic bid to the women's championship by finishing first in regional championships. The Eagles won the South/Southeast Region championship, while the UAA champion Bears took home the Midwest Region title. University of Chicago and University of Rochester each received at-large berths to the field.
Emory also earned an automatic bid to the men's championship with its South/Southeast title. UAA champion Carnegie Mellon University, Chicago, and Washington garnered at-large bids to the field.
The top seven runners from all qualifying teams will compete as individuals in addition to the top seven runners in each regional meet not from a qualifying team. 31 UAA women and 29 UAA men will compete in the championship.
UAA Runner of the Year Emily Bryson of Brandeis University, Kelsey Aamoth of Case Western Reserve University, and Lily Corasro of NYU received at-large bids into the women's championship. Sam Merriman of CWRU received an at-large bid on the men's side.
