The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team finished a weekend at Wittenberg University with a pair of 3-0 wins on Saturday. The Tartans opened with a 3-0 win against Wittenberg and concluded with a win by the same score against Marietta College. The Tartans are now 15-6 overall.

  • The Tartans hit .207 with 35 kills.
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Schlemmer led with 10 kills.
  • Senior Jane Dean had eight kills and hit .471 from the middle.
  • Senior Mindee Lai distributed 30 assists.
  • Senior Laura Reichard led with 26 digs while junior Abby Chen had 13 digs.
  • Sophomore Kai Herchenroether had five block assists.

  • The Tartans hit .278 with 46 kills.
  • Reichard and senior Avani Seshiah each had 12 kills, as Seshiah hit .526.
  • Lai dished out 38 assists and also led with nine digs.
  • Freshman Zoe Gavros, Reichard, and Chen each had eight digs.

  • The Marietta match marked the second time this season Seshiah hit over .500.
