Five members of the New York University women's soccer team, as well as the coaching staff, received United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-America and All-Region IV honors for their performances this past season.

Head Coach Scott Waddell and assistant coaches Nikki Driesse and Carmen Proffitt were named Region IV Staff of the Year. The trio helped lead the team to a 14-3-2 overall record and a 3-2-2 mark in the University Athletic Association (UAA). The Violets earned their first NCAA Tournament bid since 2018 and advanced to the Sweet 16. The team also set multiple program records: goals in a season (71), goals per game (3.74), assists (49), assists per game (2.57), shots (393), and shots per game (20.7).

Co-captaining this historic team was Gabriella Funk, who received First Team All-America accolades for her efforts this year. She led the team in points (35) and assists (11), and was second in goals (12). She also set records for all-time points (82) and assists (24), with her 29 career goals just a mere three away from tying the program's record.

Kelli Keady, whose 14 goals tied the program's one-season record, earned Second Team All-America honors. She also led the Violets in shots (55), shots on goal (37), and shots on goal percentage (.637).

"Being named an All-American is a really special honor. We are all really proud of Gabriella and Kelli," Waddell said. "They've really worked hard throughout their careers and are so deserving of the honor. They are awesome players and even more impressive young women."

Both Funk and Keady were also selected as First Team All-Region IV.

Dominique Bevacqua and Eileen Xu were named Second Team All-Region. Bevacqua recorded five goals, six assists and 1005 minutes played during the 2023 campaign. Xu played 1318 minutes, the second-highest on the team, and received a UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week honor.

Makenzie Rodrigues was named Third Team All-Region after compiling 11 goals and three assists.

"These accolades are also a testament to the team and everyone that has poured their everything into the team and our success," Waddell added. "The entire NYU athletics department and women's soccer fraternity are brimming with pride for all of our honorees."
