Eleanor Archer and Caitlin Bui of WashU Win ITA Cup Doubles Championship

Archer, Bui ITA Cup Champs 2024Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis doubles duo of sophomore Eleanor Archer and first-year Caitlin Bui won the ITA Cup doubles championship on Sunday morning.
 
The pair is the first to win a doubles national championship at the ITA Cup, formerly known as the Small College Nationals. Archer and Bui defeated Emory's Dakota Fordham and Emily Kantrovitz 7-6 (7), 6-3 in the final to earn the title.
 
"Eleanor and Caitlin came into this tournament focused and ready to positively represent WashU tennis on the national stage," said Head Coach Paige Madara. "Throughout the whole weekend, they positively supported each other and competed with tough Bear grit to bring the title back to St. Louis."
 
The Bears continue the fall slate on Nov. 2-3 at the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State.
