Tartans Top Emory, 1-0, for Home UAA Win

The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team topped Emory University by a 1-0 score on Saturday at home for its first University Athletic Association (UAA) win of the season. The Tartans are now 7-4-2 overall and 1-2 in the UAA while the Eagles are 5-6-1 and 2-1.

  • The Tartans' goal came in the 50th minute on a left-footed strike at the top of the box by freshman Tristan Gonzalez. Senior Jake Slackman assisted on the play.
  • Yamamoto made four saves in the second half to earn the shutout and his second shutout of the season.
