HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brandeis (6-4-2, 2-1 UAA) opened the game with a quick goal less than six minutes into the contest. University of Chicago (7-6-1, 2-0-1 UAA) wasn't deterred though and they tied the game when Danny Mendoza set up Julius Rauch in the 12th minute to tie things at one.
- The Maroons would get another goal just before halftime when Sam Jiminez and Ryan Shea assisted on Edward Wu's goal at 40:53 but that lead would only last for a short time as both teams went into the second frame.
- The Judges evened up the game in the 59th minute and it looked like UChicago might get dealt their second tie of the season. However, Wu tallied his second goal of the game when Max Weene dealt him a pass with less than 15 minutes left. The Maroons defense held Brandeis to just four shots in the contest while putting up 15 of their own to earn their second conference win with a 3-2 victory.
