The #7 University of Chicago women's soccer team closed out its home schedule in dominant fashion on Sunday afternoon, rolling past #21 Brandeis University. In the shutout win, UChicago recorded five different goal scorers.

UChicago set the tone early by maintaining possession and applying pressure. After several early chances, the Maroons broke through in the 23rd minute when Kaitlyn Gomez connected on a perfectly placed ball from Annabel Edwards off a corner kick. The goal marked Gomez's third of the season.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 37th minute as Lucy Harrison-Caldwell converted a pass from Jamie Nguyen to make it 2–0. UChicago outshot Brandeis 9–0 in the first half and earned six corner kicks while holding the Judges without a single shot on goal.

After halftime, the Maroons continued to build on their momentum. In the final 20 minutes of the match, UChicago scored four goals.

Harrison-Caldwell dribbled through traffic to open the scoring once again in the 73rd minute. Less than two minutes later, Mary Roberts fired a shot that struck the crossbar, and on the rebound Kate Bruntlett capitalized to extend the lead to 4-0. In a matter of seconds, Tahra Minowada found the back of the net to score her first of the season.

To seal the dominant Senior Day win, Avery Gallucci netted another for the Maroons in the 76th minute to close out the match 6-0.

UChicago finished with a 20-3 shot advantage and 7-2 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeepers Milly Koenig and Sophia Sasaki combined for the shutout, with Sasaki recording two second-half saves.

Harrison-Caldwell led all scorers with two goals while Gomez, Bruntlett, Minowada, and Gallucci each added one.

The Maroons conclude the regular season next Saturday with their final UAA matchup at #1 WashU. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
