TEAM RECORDS
- Brandeis, 1-0.
- Coast Guard, 0-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brandeis outshot Coast Guard, 13-4, including 7-1 in the first half, but the Judges were unable to find the back of the net until the final 10 minutes of action.
- On a corner kick in the 81st minute, a Coast Guard defender was whistled for punching the ball out of the goal with his hand. He was shown a red card, and senior Rainer Osselmann-Chai (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional) buried the ensuing penalty kick for what proved to be the game-winning goal.
- The goal was his eighth of his career, and the third to come on a PK. He has converted all three prior attempts in his career.
- Playing a man up, the Judges just missed a second goal less than a minute later when junior Elan Romo (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) hit the crossbar.
- Senior Tyler Correnti (West Newbury, Mass./Pentucket Regional) made one save in the 49th minute to earn his first collegiate win in goal.
- Junior transfer Keller Chamovitz (Sewickly, Pa./Quaker Valley) led the Judges with four shots, two on goal.
