Tartans Remain Undefeated After 6-0 Win at Westminster

The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team traveled north to New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, to take on Westminster College and returned home with a 6-0 victory. The Tartans are now 5-0-3 for the season while the Titans fall to 0-6-1.

  • Senior Zach Schonwetter scored the game's opening goal in the 28th minute after sophomore James Ashby put a low cross through the box for the first finish of the season by Schonwetter.
  • Sophomore Leo Serodio added to the scoreline in the 53rd minute with a shot high and to the right off an assist from classmate Tristan Gonzalez.
  • Five minutes later, Serodio scored again with a shot low and to the left.
  • Sophomore Nathan Yao got on the board less than two minutes after Serodio's second goal for his first goal of the season and second of his career.
  • Freshman Paxton Hafner put in his first career goal with a high shot to the right post in the 66th minute to give the Tartans a 5-0 lead.
  • The final goal of the game came off the foot of sophomore Drew McKim in the 74th minute off an assist from freshman Ben Park.
