NYU Posts Senior Day Sweep with Pair of Wins

Six Violets' seniors, Duru Topcu, Alden Roberts, Chloe Lemons, Grace Nelson, Coco Barton, and Tatum Chase, were honored before the second match against Baruch College.
"The seniors are tremendous teammates," said Head Coach Andrew Brown. "It's really easy to go out there and play for them."
Senior Day brought plenty to celebrate for the Violets, recording victories over Stockton University (25-15, 25-21, 25-20) and Baruch (25-18, 25-14, 25-11).

NYU jumped to a 5-1 lead in the second set before Baruch cut it to two. Back-to-back blocks from KylieEmma Obeto sparked a seven-point run, creating distance from the Bearcats and closing out set two.
The Violets never trailed in the third stanza, jumping out to an early six-point lead and maintaining control throughout before Barton sealed the set with the final kill.
"We took care of business this weekend," Brown added. "I see this team continuing to build throughout the remainder of the season."
