The 17th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team competed against the 25th-ranked Haverford College on Saturday on the road. The Tartans won the match with a final score of 6-1 to advance to 5-0 for the season.

Inside the Results

  • The Tartans won two of three doubles matches. Sophomore Brendan Hendrata and graduate student Diogo Tinoco won first doubles, 6-3. Junior Raghav Jangbahadur and senior Akshay Joshi won second doubles, 6-4.
  • The Tartans won five of six singles matches beginning with a 6-2, 6-2 win from sophomore Alex Feies at first singles.
  • Jangbahadur was successful at third singles, 7-6 (7-3), 6-1.
  • At fourth singles, sophomore Takeshi Koey won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to secure the match win.
  • Hendrata went 6-3, 7-5 at fifth singles.
  • Freshman Ian Miller finished strong at sixth singles with a 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (15-13) win.
