Brandeis University softball sophomore 3B Jordan Wallace drove in seven runs, tying for the team's highest RBI total since 2005, while finishing a double shy of the cycle as the Judges completed a three-game sweep of University Athletic Association rivals NYU, 11-3, in five innings today.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wallace picked up where she left off last night, when she drove in nine runs during a doubleheader sweep, driving in two runs in the top of the first with a triple. She scored on a sacrifice fly by senior Bells Burdenski (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Bernardo), and the Judges added a fourth run on a double by sophomore catcher Dylan Yamamura (Newbury Park, Calif./Newbury Park) to take a 4-0 lead.
- Junior Brooke Boehmer (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) plated a run in the second, and the Judges went ahead by eight runs in the fourth on an RBI double by first-year Taryn Rainey (Huntley, Ill./Huntley) and a two-run single by Wallace.
- NYU temporarily staved off the eight-run rule by scoring twice in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run single by Sarah Huang, but Wallace answered in the next half inning with a three-run home run to give her seven RBI on the day and push the score to 11-2.
- It was Wallaces third homer of the season the ninth of her career.
- NYU tried to close the gap again with a run in the bottom of the fifth, but Brandeis caught a runner overrunning second base for the second out of the inning to ensure that the Judges maintained their eight-run lead.
WALLACE'S BIG WEEKEND
- Wallace had a dominant weekend against NYU, posting nine hits in 13 at-bats for a .692 batting average. She had three doubles, a triple and a home run for a 1.308 slugging percentage.
- She scored five runs and drove in 16, more than four other UAA teams this weekend.
- Her seven RBI game matches only a pair of similar performances during the 2012 season by Brittany Grimm '12 and Marianne Specker '12.
- Wallace has now hit safely in 11-straight games and 16 of 18 this season. She has had multiple hits seven times during her current streak and nine times total in 2026.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- In addition to Wallace (3-4, 2 R, 7 RBI, 3B, HR), big games were turned in by Boehmer (3-3, 3 R, 1 RBI, 2B), Rainey (2-3, 2 R, RBI, 2B) and senior Erin Hunt (Wake Forest, N.C./Franklin Academy) (2-4, 2 R).
- Combined, the top four in the Judges' batting order went 10-14 with nine runs scored and nine RBI.
- First-year Madeline Jennings (New York, N.Y./Beacon) was the beneficiary of the offense in the circle, allowing eight hits and three runs in five innings. She struck out four without issuing a walk to improve to 4-3 with her second complete game.
