The top-ranked University of Chicago men's tennis team rolled past #6 Case Western Reserve for a 4-1 victory to claim the fourth UAA title in program history.

In a rematch of both the 2024 and 2025 UAA championship match, the Maroons and Spartans took to the court looking to win the rubber match. UChicago came out firing in doubles play as the duo of Gopal Koduri and Shrikeshav Murugesan cruised to a dominant 6-0 victory at #2 doubles. Then, Jack Wong and Robert Zhang sealed the doubles point with a 6-4 win at #3 doubles.

Following a win for Case Western at #6 singles to level the score at one, the Maroons clinched the match in very short order. Emil Grantcharov rolled to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over the #27 player in NCAA Division III at #2 singles, and Alexander Ekstrand picked up the third point with a 6-3, 6-3 win at #3 singles. The championship point was brought home just moments later as Shrikeshav Murugesan won the #1 singles match with a score of 6-3, 6-3, taking down the #22 player in NCAA Division III.

In the remaining two matches, Ajer Sher was on serve in the third set at #5 singles after winning the first set 6-2, and Michael Choi was on-serve in the second set at #4 singles after dropping the first set 6-2.

With the win, the Maroons improve to 18-3 overall on the season. UChicago earns the automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Tournament.
