It was good to be back home for the No. 8 Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team on Monday as the Bears played their first match on the Tao Tennis Courts in a month, picking up a 7-0 sweep of Greenville.

WashU jumped out to a quick start, winning the doubles point and claiming all three doubles matches. Seniors Case Fagan and Colin Scruggs were the first ones done with their 6-0 match at number two doubles. It was then senior Colin Fox and first-year Jeremy Sieben that clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at the top doubles spot.

Junior Nathan Tam and sophomore Drew Koval completed the doubles sweep with a 6-2 win at number three.

Leading 1-0, WashU was able to get things started quickly in singles. First-year Hans Deng was not on the court for very long with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number five, with Sieben following quickly behind with an identical 6-1, 6-0 win at number two singles.
Tam clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-4 win at number four.

With the match won, Scruggs picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at number one singles before first-year Spencer Yamamoto won his match at number six singles, 6-2, 6-2. Fox completed the match sweep at number three singles with his 6-4, 6-4 win.
