Maria Brooks of WashU and Karen Potts of CWRU Earn Top Honors as All-UAA Softball Team is Named

Junior pitcher Maria Brooks of Association champion Washington University of St. Louis was named UAA Pitcher of the Year as the 2026 Softball All-Association Team was named. Junior Karen Potts of Case Western Reserve University was chosen as UAA Position Player of the Year.

2026 Softball All-UAA Team

Brooks finished 10-0 in UAA play with a 1.01 earned run average. She struck out 67 batters in 69.1 innings and limited opposing hitters to a .197 batting average. Brooks enters NCAA play with a 16-0 mark and a 1.34 earned run average.

Potts batted .483 in Association play with six doubles, seven home runs, and 18 runs batted in. Overall, she leads the Spartans heading into the postseason with a .411 average, 14 doubles, 12 home runs, and 37 RBI.

First-year outfielder Julia Sullo of WashU was selected as UAA Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Association first team.

Casey Cromwell and her staff were named UAA Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Bears to their second consecutive UAA title.
