- Babson: 1-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Judges had the edge in the first half, outshooting Babson, 6-5.
- The lone goal of the stanza came in the 12th minute. Sophomore Sadie Williams (Waterville, Maine / Waterville) sent a ball from the left flank into the box that skipped past a Beaver defender. Senior Tanvi Raju (Hyderabad, India/Indus International School) was there to blast home her first goal of the season inside the near post.
- The goal was Raju's 11th of her carer but first since 2024 after not playing in 2025.
- Babson came out strong in the second half, doubling their shot total with nine.
- The Judges nearly found a second goal in the early going of the second half, but the Babson defense denied first-year Ella Kauffman (E. Greenwich, R.I. / E. Greenwich) in the 50th minute.
- Babson's aggressive approach nearly paid off in the 66th minute when Josie Lee found Emma Radley behind the defense. Radley's shot deflected off the inside of the post, but came back into play instead of into the netting, maintaining the 1-0 Brandeis lead.
- The Beavers' Lee collected a yellow card in the 71st minute for a challenge on Brandeis senior goalkeeper Amaya Logan (Jacksonville, Fla. / Creekside), but Logan was steady after that, making three saves in the final 20 minutes.
- The Judges got an insurance goal in the 80th minute, when Kauffman slotted a ball into the box from the right side with sophomore Moira Koleno (Chicago, Ill./ Whitney M. Young Magnet) there to slot the ball home for her first goal of the season.
- For the game, Brandeis outshot Babson, 16-14.
- Logan totaled six saves for her second shutout of the season and the sixth of her career, while Babson's Callhan Cottone made five stops in the losing effort.
- The win moves the Judges to 3-0-1 in their last four meetings with the Beavers, holding Babson scoreless over that stretch.
- Brandeis is now 27-19-5 all time against Babson in the most played matchup in program history.
